Social with Sephora

Sephora is one of the most well-known makeup stores around. They are affiliated with many brands you know and love! So many, in fact, they probably don’t need to advertise themselves on social media. The brands do it for them. But it’s best that they continue to keep in touch and share their voice over all available platforms and promote their brands.

Let’s start with Tik Tok. The tone of voice on Sephora’s Tik Tok page is informative. It features post such as makeup hacks, cameos from celebrities/influencers, product reviews, tutorials, must-haves and more!

Sephora’s Twitter voice is one of service. They mostly use it respond to customer concerns. But they also advertise products they think you should try. Their Facebook has these same exact posts and tone, without the customer replies. Their instagram consists of these posts as well. Along with reels, IGTV and story highlights. Their tones across these three platforms are straight forward and matter of fact, which works for them.

It seems their customer service strategy is to be helpful to those who are tuning in. Their Twitter is full of tweets responding to customer issues with packages and orders. My suggestion for that would be for Sephora to create a separate account for customer support. That way their main account won’t be clogged with responses and can be reserved for everything at the forefront of the moment.

Other than that, their social media is very well put together. Their Instagram looks clean, their Tik Tok posts are purposeful, the Twitter account is helpful and their Facebook does enough for what Facebook is used for.
